What is BERMAD-Air?
BERMAD-Air is a state-of-the-art water-system design software that guides engineers to the right model, size and location of air valves across water systems, while reducing the costs & increasing system efficiency and lifespan. The BERMAD-Air Software is an engineering tool, combining algorithms based on common sizing methods such as AWWA-M51, with actual airflow measurements from BERMAD’s Air Flow Test Bench (per EN-1074/4 and AS4956), ensuring selections reflect real performance rather than theoretical curves.
Designed for long transmission mains, pump-to-reservoir as well as gravity systems, BERMAD-Air lets you explore what-if scenarios, compare alternatives and arrive at an informed, auditable decision. Using Bermad-Air will achieve the following goals:
- Protection against vacuum conditions and pipeline collapse due to drainage or burst.
- Safe and controlled pipeline filling within a reasonable time.
- Enhanced system efficiency during pressurized operation.
- Improved Surge Protection solutions.
- Reduced air valve procurement costs.
